The Calvary Drug & Alcohol Centre is seeking a permanent part-time Registered Nurse
About You: The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate client care in a client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reduce alcohol and other drug related harms by providing evidence-based drug and alcohol services to people accessing Calvary Drug and Alcohol Centre.
* Provide comprehensive and individualised biopsychosocial assessments, realistic and supportive treatment/support plans and discharge planning to clients
* Identify, respond and escalate, if required, significant risk factors or deterioration in client's condition and develop and implement an appropriate management plan
* Provide evidence informed ambulatory withdrawal support to clients in the centre
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to meet the needs of the clients
What You Bring:
* Knowledge and application of alcohol and other drugs theoretical frameworks, national guidelines and evidence based therapeutic interventions.
* AHPRA Registration
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
* Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
* Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
* A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
