We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Gym Receptionist and Gym Class Instructor to join our team. This is a dual-role position that combines front-of-house responsibilities with hands-on fitness support, including program development and class instruction.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our members and visitors, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. In addition to reception and administrative duties, you will utilise your fitness qualifications to provide high-quality member programs and have the opportunity to not only cover classes but create classes of your own.
Key Responsibilities
* Greeting and assisting members and guests in a professional manner
* Managing membership enquiries, sign-ups, and general administrative tasks
* Designing and delivering basic exercise programs tailored to member needs
* Occasionally instructing group fitness classes as scheduled
* Ensuring the reception area and gym floor are maintained to a high standard
* Supporting member engagement, retention, and satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate III in Fitness or higher (mandatory)
* Current First Aid and CPR certification WWCC and Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
* Must have experience teaching group fitness classes (HIIT, Functional Training, and more)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Previous experience in a gym, health club, or fitness-related role (preferred)
* Knowledge of gym management systems or software (desirable)

Pay: $24.95 – $31.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 15 per week
