Technical Operations Supervisor
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations and personnel to ensure work is executed safely and efficiently.
* Lead Safety Compliance: Ensure the safety of all site personnel and manage compliance with company and client policies, procedures, and regulations across all maintenance and operational areas.
* Maintenance Oversight: Ensure all preventative and breakdown maintenance is completed on time and performed efficiently to maximize equipment availability and comply with the site maintenance agreement.
* Personnel Management: Directly supervise the technical team, manage individual performance, and ensure the effective utilization and development of the technical workforce in line with business needs.
* System Management: Ensure accurate entry of all maintenance data into Maximo, supervise stock control and asset utilization, and maintain strict compliance with site requirements.
* Reporting & Client Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with client representatives, providing regular and timely technical reporting in line with site requirements.
Applicants should possess a Formal Trade Qualification (Fitter/Mechanical/Electrical) plus a Post Trade Qualification, supported by several years of supervisory experience in a heavy industry environment. Proven experience managing a technical service operation within the Port, Mechanical Handling, or Industrial Operations sectors, including familiarity with computer-based maintenance management systems, is essential. Exceptional people management skills with a proven ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and effectively handle performance management and industrial relationships are also required.
