About the Company
This is a leading Government Agency who are seeking an experienced Digital Communications Advisor to produce and publish content for digital channels (social media, website and intranet) as well as collating, writing and copy-editing content for corporate and consumer documents such as customer case studies, newsletters etc
Day to day activities
4. Develop and implement the annual social media strategy and manage social media channels, producing, publishing and reviewing social media content to promote the brand and business objectives.
5. Assist the Digital Communications Manager to develop, deliver and manage an overall digital content strategy for all communication activities in line with business objectives.
6. Management of all content calendars across Communications Services.
7. Research and produce effective content for written and digital products using exceptional writing skills across multiple audiences.
8. Produce and maintain writing guidelines, tone of voice and style guides in line with the brand and provide training and coaching on best practice writing skills for staff.
9. Support other Digital Communications team members with the review, update, coordination and publishing of high quality, accurate online content across all our digital channels.
10. Produce website and intranet content that meets all standards and guidelines, is accessible and optimised for web, through SEO practices.
11. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the audiences to translate complex/technical language into widely understood, relevant and compelling communications
Ideally candidate
12. Proven experience in successfully creating effective content for a variety of channels and audiences
13. Tertiary qualifications in writing, communications, marketing, journalism or related area or equivalent skills and experience.
14. Strong knowledge of social media platforms with proven experience in social media strategy development, planning, producing and publishing content for social media audiences, community management and analysing and evaluating communication campaigns.
15. Strong storytelling skills, written and visual, with proven experience in creatively explaining and promoting complex and technical concepts, products, systems and initiatives through accessible, concise and Plain English content.
16. High attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and experience working in a high volume and demanding professional environment with proven capacity to prioritise, work autonomously, juggle conflicting deadlines, achieve business goals, and always work with a customer focused approach.
17. Exceptional collaboration skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team as well as with senior executive stakeholders.
18. Proven experience working with Content Management Systems and front-end web publishing.
19. Ability to provide advice, coach and train staff in best practice techniques for writing for different channels and audiences.
