About Public Bar Manuka
Public Bar is a vibrant, contemporary venue in the heart of Manuka, offering a mix of share plates and modernised pub food. With a large selection of spirits, cocktails, and an extensive wine list, it's the perfect place to celebrate with good food, wine, and company
Looking for casual cooks/chefs available to work 1-2 shifts a week and potentially take on more in busy periods. Plenty of flexibility available for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, focusing on modern pub cuisine and share plates.
* Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
* Valid food safety certification must be held at commencement of employment.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food service.
* Support and train junior kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
* Proven experience as a cook or chef in a similar environment.
* Minimum of 1-2 years cooking experience required.
* Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food.
* Relevant culinary qualifications are preferred but not essential.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
