We are seeking disability support workers to join our team.
As a member of our team you will need good communication skills to support you in your role as a disability support worker. This role will involve assisting our clients with daily living activities, social and community participation, empowering clients to achieve their goals and meeting their needs in order to remain as independent as possible.
This position will require you to work with clients with various needs including those with high intensity needs, complex behaviours and medication requirements.

**Your Key Responsibilities Include**:
- Build rapport and collaborate effectively with staff/management, participants, their families, and friends to achieve a positive outcome and ensure a smooth service delivery flow throughout the participants' plan.
- Assist with liaising with participants' families and friends to explore new goals, and ambitions, promote and empower participants to achieve their goals and support them to meet their needs
- Increase participants' skills with your active support and promote independence by enhancing their skills and personal development.
- Provide quality and professional support per participants' plans, needs, and wants.
- Assisting participants with accessing their social community to engage with their friends and social groups to promote a healthier lifestyle.
- Implement strategies and programs to develop/enhance participant skills and identify areas of increased support and opportunities for services to help achieve their goals.
- Shifts that are available range from Monday through to Sunday. Timings of shifts may vary. Shifts may range from a minimum of 2 hours to 8 hours, including overnight supports.
**Qualifications**
- Minimum Certificate III in Disability, Aged or Individual Support.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR training
- Manual Handling Certificate.
- Hand Hygiene
- Infection Control
- Current full Driver's License
- Assist clients with Medication certificate.
**The following credentials are an advantage**
- Mental health training/experience
- Working With Children Check
- Through their eyes - Mandatory reporting
**Other Essentials**
- Own a car with full comprehensive insurance.
- Right to work in Australia.

Pay: $32.00 - $74.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 38 per week
