My client, an innovative global entertainment brand is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join their global Enterprise Applications team, supporting the testing of .NET applications that integrate closely with hardware components.
This is a 7+ month contract offering a hybrid work set up with 3 days in offices based North-Western Sydney.
The ideal candidate is proactive, AUTONOMOUS, detail-oriented, and highly adaptable, with a proven ability to juggle multiple priorities, swiftly identify P1/P2 issues, and maintain a high standard of quality across both hardware and software testing.
You'll be responsible for executing System Integration Testing (SIT), supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and driving end-to-end QA efforts across critical applications.
Requirements:
Support and Collaborate on test planning processes: define strategy, scope, timelines, and estimates for all test activities - hardware and software.
Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases aligned to business and technical requirements.
Execute testing against both hardware-integrated applications and web-based custom .NET systems.
Lead all test phases: functional, integration, regression, smoke, usability, and UAT.
Proactively identify and report P1/P2 defects ensuring swift triage and resolution.
Effectively multitask across multiple testing streams without compromising quality or timelines.
Provide regular progress updates to the Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, and Project Manager - highlighting risks, blockers, and quality status.
Take accountability for delivering test phases on time and within scope.
Actively identify areas for process improvement in QA practices and contribute to evolving test standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders across Australia, India, and other global regions - using proactive communication to resolve ambiguity and drive testing outcomes.
Manage test data, environment readiness, and ensure clean, repeatable test cycles.
Continuously contribute to QA process improvements and testing standards.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and contexts efficiently and effectively.
Demonstrate strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with a bias for action.
Strong communication and teamwork skills in a global, multi-time zone environment.
Qualifications:
5 - 8 years of Manual Testing experience.
Proven experience testing applications with hardware dependencies.
Strong skills in test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting - with direct accountability to project leadership.
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery.
Demonstrated initiative and accountability in driving test activities independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be comfortable engaging across cultures and time zones.
Preferred - ISTQB/ ISEB certified.
Working Knowledge of Automation testing is a plus.
