Job Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned property professional to drive the operational and strategic management of building maintenance, safety compliance, contractor performance, and capital works across our commercial properties.
The Role
* Manage contractors for routine and capital works projects.
* Coordinate all maintenance activities for key assets.
* Maintain asset databases.
* Oversee tenant fit-outs and ensure adherence to building standards.
* Conduct regular site inspections, document risk issues, and implement mitigation measures for key assets.
* Process purchase orders; review and approve contractor invoices.
* Attend stakeholder meetings and contribute to business planning activities.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide expert property management advice.
* Supervise and mentor a facilities coordinator.
The Requirements
* 10+ years of experience in managing commercial, industrial, or retail property assets.
* Demonstrated knowledge of contractor safety protocols, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
* Proven ability to manage budgets and costs.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Strong organisational and time-management capabilities, with experience managing multiple assets simultaneously.
* Current driver's licence.
* Construction induction card.
* Advanced computer literacy and business writing skills.
* Experience managing or mentoring direct reports.
