Looking for QA Automation leader to lead quality engineering and test automation practices across a large-scale digital platform, driving modern automation, DevOps integration, and engineering excellence to achieve ambitious automation targets.
This is a permanent position and part of a multi - year program with heavy investment.
This role is responsible for defining and executing enterprise-wide quality engineering strategies aligned with a major digital transformation program. You will design scalable automation frameworks, embed testing into CI/CD pipelines, and champion a strong shift-left quality culture.
Key Responsibilities
Define and lead quality engineering strategies across API, web, and mobile platforms
Design, build, and maintain modern test automation frameworks with a strong emphasis on Playwright
Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable releases
Drive shift-left testing, ensuring quality gates are applied early in the SDLC
Promote engineering excellence through tooling, metrics, and best practices
Collaborate closely with engineering leads, architects, and product teams to align quality outcomes with business goals
Mentor and coach engineers in test automation, Playwright best practices, and quality engineering standards
Ensure testing practices align with security, risk, and compliance requirements
Contribute to capability uplift through knowledge sharing and communities of practice
Core Skills & Experience
10+ years' experience in quality engineering and test automation within large, complex environments
Deep hands-on expertise with Playwright for end-to-end and UI automation (must-have)
Strong experience with API automation tools such as RestAssured or similar
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalent)
Experience testing microservices-based and cloud-native architectures
Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and coaching capability
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
