DIDO Chef roles immediately available in Woomera, (remote) South Australia, 2 weeks on 1 week off swings
Hays Recruitment are currently looking for qualified Chef's for a DIDO role in the historic town of Woomera in far north South Australia.
The successful candidates will be required to have strong cooking skills and a good understanding of food safety and allergen management and the minimum of a cert iii in commercial cookery.
Due to the location of the role (500km north of Adelaide) this position is a DIDO role working 14 days on followed by an R&R period.
The successful candidates will also receive free accommodation as our client has access to houses on site so this would see you sharing a 3 bedroom house with one or two other people. While you are on site all your food is provided at no cost
As these roles are remote we are looking for candidates that have a full drivers licence with your own reliable vehicle as this is essential to get to and from site.
The role will see you working your 2 week swing in either a busy Café environment, cooking A La Carte breakfast and lunches with the shift starting at 5am or your 2 week swing will be in a hotel restaurant environment cooking a la carte from the existing menu. The shift in the hotel restaurant starts at 10am, so both roles are days shift hours only. All days are 12 hours shifts with an excellent hourly rate available.
This role is offered on a casual basis and to be successful in this role we are looking for candidates with experience within a large commercial kitchen environment that have excellent customer service and problem solving skills.
This role will see you working with a close knit professional workforce with a major focus on working as a team and helping other people whenever you can.
Before the role can commence candidates would be required to provide a national police check that is no more than 4 weeks old as well as full commercial cookery qualifications and 2 recent references.
