Key Responsibilities
* Assist with end-of-month journals and reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Support the preparation of monthly management reporting packs including variance and cost analysis.
* Produce and maintain daily cost reporting covering parts, labour and other key operational cost drivers.
* Assist the Regional Business Partner with weekly, monthly, half-year and annual forecasts and budgets.
* Support regular overhead reviews, cost control initiatives and identification of cost saving opportunities.
* Assist with preparation and review of financial and management accounting data relating to business unit performance.
* Prepare, review and own regional balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timely resolution of reconciling items.
* Provide analytical support to operational leaders to improve commercial decision-making.
* Provide local assistance with ERP implementation and rollout, including testing, training support and data validation.
* Support continuous improvement in financial reporting, data quality and business processes.
* Work collaboratively with other finance and operational stakeholders to support performance outcomes for the business.
You Will Have:
* Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting.
* Progression toward membership of professional body; CPA, CA or equivalent
* 1-3 years' experience in an accounting or financial role, preferably within mining or mining services – Junior candidates encouraged to apply
* Strong analytical and numerical capability with high attention to detail.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and previous exposure to Power BI reporting.
* Experience working with ERP systems is required.
* Ability to interpret financial and operational data and present findings clearly.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and productive working relationships.
* Demonstrated willingness and capability to learn new systems and processes.
* Proven ability to work autonomously and as part as a team
