Steeline supplies builders, trades, and homeowners across Australia. We are seeking experienced and qualified MACHINE TECHNICIAN to join and bring their expertise to our dedicated professional team based in Berrimah, Northern Territory Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct regular inspections, tests, and maintenance of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operation performance. Strong understanding of the machines they work with. Work with mechanical or computer-operated equipment.
Diagnose equipment failures, analyse performance, and implement efficient solutions to machine breakdowns and minimise downtime. Be able to follow instructions, work with others, and help ensure that all safety regulations are followed. Install and calibrate new equipment and machinery as needed.
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery. Work with others in order to ensure that machinery and equipment is in proper working order. Observe and follow company safety rules and regulations.
Ensure all machinery operates safely, complying with OSHA and company guidelines. Inspecting the parts of the machine and using micrometers and rulers to make sure the machine meets all design parameters of the blueprints. Promote a culture of continuous improvement in product/service quality.
Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and machine performance data. Track and order spare parts and supplies. To be considered for this role, you must have:
Trade Qualifications and +5 years proven relevant experience Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and service manuals. Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, and calibration tools. Strong knowledge of troubleshooting technique and problem-solving skills Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering designs, installations, maintenance, and repairs
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measuring instruments Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks
