Private Psychiatric Practice Receptionist
About the role
We seek a friendly and professional receptionist to join our private psychiatric practice in Launceston, Tasmania. This part-time role requires excellent customer service, a commitment to confidentiality and smooth running of the practice.
What you'll be doing
· Greeting patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming manner
· Managing patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling and cancellations
· Handling patient inquiries and providing information about our services
· Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
· Assisting with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying and data entry
· Processing billing for consultations and outstanding accounts management
· Promoting a positive and professional image of the practice
What we're looking for
· Previous experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner
· Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask
· Excellent personal presentation, a willingness to adjust to practice ethos
· Proficiency in using computer systems and standard office software (training available)
· A friendly, discreet and empathic approach when dealing with sensitive and confidential healthcare information
· A genuine interest in people
