Position Overview: A leading architectural practice is seeking a highly capable Studio Manager to lead the day-to-day operations while providing essential contract administration support during the construction phase of projects. This senior role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage competing priorities across people, projects, and directors. Key Responsibilities: Studio & Operations Leadership: Lead the daily operations of the architectural practice. Act as the primary operational interface between Directors and staff. Establish clear systems, workflows, and accountability across the studio. Maintain a professional, calm, and well-run office environment. Contract Administration Support: Manage the administrative and documentation aspects of Contract Administration. Establish and maintain CA systems, registers, and trackers. Assist Directors with payment schedules, progress claims, and certification tracking. Financial & Business Administration: Oversee Xero bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable. Handle monthly project invoicing and payroll processing. Human Resources & Team Management: Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance processes. Foster a positive, accountable studio culture. Office, Project & Digital Administration: Provide project administration support, including reports and documentation. Oversee digital filing, archiving, and document control. Marketing & Communications: Oversee website and social media updates. Coordinate project publications and submissions. Skills & Experience Required: Essential: 8 years in a senior studio, office, or practice management role (architecture/design/construction preferred). Strong understanding of architectural practice operations. Proven experience managing multiple senior stakeholders. Highly Regarded: Prior experience supporting Contract Administration. Leadership or people-management experience. Reporting: Reports directly to the Directors and acts as the operational lead of the studio.
