Salary: $73,150 to $80,000 plus superannuation
Club Warwick RSL is a large hospitality and entertainment venue operating 7 days a week with high-volume lunch and dinner service, functions, events, gaming, and bar operations through its Bistro on King and club facilities.
We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Chef to join our kitchen leadership team on a full time basis.
Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing kitchen operations, maintaining high food standards, supporting junior staff, and contributing to menu development across a busy à la carte and functions environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Planning and preparing high-quality meals across lunch, dinner, and function service
* Supervising kitchen operations during busy service periods
* Assisting with menu planning, specials, and seasonal offerings
* Monitoring food preparation, portion control, and presentation standards
* Training and mentoring apprentice and junior kitchen staff
* Managing stock rotation, ordering, and minimising wastage
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, WHS, and hygiene regulations
* Maintaining consistency and efficiency in a high-volume kitchen workplace
* Coordinating with management regarding operational requirements and customer expectations
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 1 year experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Experience in high-volume bistro, club, restaurant, or functions environments
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced environment
* Sound knowledge of food safety and kitchen compliance standards
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
