Help deliver exceptional care to our residents at our
McNamara Lodge
facility in Meadow Springs, Mandurah. As a Carer with RAAFA, you will develop meaningful relationships with our residents to ensure their needs, interests, routines and preferences are respected and met. You will be responsible for providing direct care as specified in the resident's care plan and work closely and collaboratively with our senior clinical staff to ensure that care is delivered to the highest standard
This role as a Carer will see you:
Be responsible for providing direct care, support and assistance to residents
Encourage and promote the activities program for residents
Assist residents to communicate to ensure that the rights, interests and needs of resident's are met
Respond to resident's requests for personal care and other assistance
Maintain resident records and information, utilising relevant systems and in line with specified policies and procedures
Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe homelike environment for the resident
Encourage and promote the independence and freedom of choice of residents.
About you:
Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support Ageing or equivilant
Previous 6 months+ experience working in Residential Aged Care
Availability over various shifts for 3-4 days a week at minimum
Ability to work autonomously and with a multidisciplinary team
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to relate to the elderly with empathy and understand their needs.
Demonstrate flexible decision making and advanced problem solving skills.
Excellent time management and organisational skills to effectively plan and prioritise work tasks.
Enjoy building positive relationships with residents, their families and staff.

Satisfactory National Police Certificate (on commencement of employment to be within six months from date of issue) or willing to obtain one
