Operational Services Officers – Porterage, Cleaning, Food Services, Linen Services, Waste Services, Resource Pool – support clinical staff to deliver the best possible care to patients. From providing nutritious meals, to transporting patients throughout the hospital, to keeping our hospital clean, providing clean linen and collecting all waste across the campus. Operational Services Officers are integral to running an effective and safe hospital.
About the role
* Support clinical staff to deliver the best possible care to patients through operative services.
* Provide non‐clinical support to the Rockhampton Hospital Campus in the area of food services.
* Operate with minimal supervision through duties including salad, sandwich and vegetable preparation, plating of meals, beverage service, delivery of meals and client contact, cleaning, stock management and signing off all Food Safety audits.
* Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures to ensure high‐quality, safe services and a safe workplace.
About you
* Demonstrated skills in the area you are applying for, e.g., food, with experience in the role.
* Ability to recognise where improvements are required and implement changes.
* Ability to manage required timeframes to ensure no disruption to patient flow within the Rockhampton Hospital.
* Tendency to work with minimal supervision and efficiently meet deadlines.
What we offer
* Hourly rate between $40.22 and $42.91 per hour (including 25% casual loading).
