Key Roles in Mechanical Conveyor Maintenance
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trade-Qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our high-performing Mechanical Conveyor Maintenance Team within our Port Hedland Operations. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our conveyor systems.
About the Role
* Perform regular inspections of conveyor systems and equipment, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions to prevent downtime.
* Execute maintenance tasks, installations, and change-outs during scheduled shutdowns and breakdowns, working collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
* Operate workshop and mobile equipment safely, maintaining a clean and organized work environment that meets safety standards.
* Follow documented maintenance procedures and participate in safety and operational meetings to stay informed and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Utilize computer systems (Microsoft Suite, SAP) to manage workflows, track progress, and meet key performance indicators set by leadership.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* A trade qualification in mechanical engineering (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
* Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with experience in conveyor maintenance and knowledge of system components.
* The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing priorities and maintaining quality standards.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a strong commitment to safety aligned with industry best practices.
* Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Suite, with leadership experience an asset.
