As a Technical Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the collaboration between the Electron Microscope Unit (EMU) and Microscopy Australia. The role involves working in a cutting-edge research environment and providing best practice for the use of electron microscopy to the community.
The successful candidate will have a tertiary degree in physical or materials science with some work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in an electron microscopy laboratory environment. Key skills and qualifications include transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and associated specimen preparation techniques, ability to adapt procedures to a diverse range of specimen types, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
