Bridge IT Engineering is seeking a Associate Communications Advisor for a federal government department with offices in the ACT and Queensland. The role will work as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team, and be responsible for developing and delivering a range of communications products to help stakeholders understand a significant regulatory reform.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Participate in the design, development, planning and implementation of multi-channel and user-centred strategic communication activity that supports the Department's implementation of complex legislative reform.
* Deliver high-quality, professional and user-centric communication materials that align with the Department's style manual and Australian Government Style Manual.
* Create, edit, review and refine communication material such as intranet pages, news item, newsletters, flyers, factsheets, videos scripts, presentations, and talking points.
* Develop and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders enabling you to effectively communicate, collaborate, negotiate and manage expectations.
* Collaborate across the Program and the agency to understand user requirements and deliver creative solutions to challenges.
* Report to the leadership team on communication effectiveness using qualitative and quantitative data.
* Actively seek ways to improve communication across the Program and the agency.
Criteria
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in a communications, media, marketing, change management or PR related role.
* Experience producing communications strategies and managing their successful implementation against identified KPIs.
* Strong writing, editing and proofreading experience, combined with expert language skill, allowing you to create material that will inspire our internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Suite must. Knowledge of course authoring tools like Adobe Captivate, animation and video editing software advantageous.
* The ability to translate complex information into easy to understand messages.
* Proven competency with photography and videography equipment including basic editing software is advantageous.
* Experience in working closely with a range of stakeholders to understand and deliver their communications objectives whilst adhering to best practice communications methods.
* High-level organisational skills including well-developed priority-setting skills and the proven ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Well-developed project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders internally and in the wider community and industry sector.
