Optus Business is looking for a strategic and customer-focused Account Director to lead key university partnerships within our VIC Enterprise team. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital transformation in higher education by managing high-value accounts, fostering deep relationships with university stakeholders, and delivering impactful ICT and mobility solutions.


What You'll Do

* Lead Strategic University Engagements : Manage a portfolio of major university accounts, supporting a diverse range of services and solutions.
* Drive Growth & Revenue : Identify new opportunities within the higher education space, deepen existing relationships, and champion early adoption of new products and services.
* Innovate with Customers : Collaborate with C-level and IT decision-makers to co-create solutions through proof-of-concept projects and innovation cycles.
* Represent Optus as a Thought Leader: Advocate for Optus' capabilities in managed ICT services, mobility, and outsourcing.
* Mentor and Collaborate: Guide Account Managers and work cross-functionally to deliver seamless client solutions.


What Makes You Perfect

* Proven Experience : 7+ years in enterprise sales, ideally with exposure to education sector, government, ICT, mobility, and managed services.
* Strong Business Acumen : You understand complex customer environments and can drive strategic outcomes.
* Relationship Mastery : You excel at building and nurturing C-level relationships.
* Sales Leadership : You lead with a relationship-based approach and have a track record in business development.
* Innovation Mindset : You're comfortable co‑creating with customers in areas like data, IoT, and cloud.
