Golding is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to be based at our Baralaba mining project .
Reporting to the General Manager Mining, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in effectively managing HME maintenance and maintenance teams, preferably in coal operations. To be successful in the role, the incumbent will have effective leadership and application skills.
This role will operate on a 5-2 roster. Flights, housing and meals will be provided.
Key role tasks:
* Lead the plant execution phase of a project such that the best outcomes are achieved;
* Analyse equipment performance (both productivity and reliability) for assigned projects and assign actions for improvement and/or make recommendations for improvement;
* Lead major equipment shutdown planning;
* Implement authorised major equipment shutdown plans according to budgeted cost and time;
* Administer the contractual obligations as they relate to plant and maintenance under the head contract across assigned projects, such that contractual obligations are met;
* Identify divergence from contract scope and resolve interpretation issues or escalate unresolved issues to your Manager;
* Produce plant reports and forecasts monthly such that it is accurate and able to be distributed in a timely fashion;
* Prepare the annual budget for assigned projects such that it is accurate and able to be distributed in a timely fashion;
* Develop plant and maintenance specific work instructions for appropriate authorisation;
* Participate in internal audits as required;
* Establish vendor contracts where the requirement is specific to assigned projects;
* Administer vendor contracts such that contractual obligations are met and Golding benefits are maximised; and
* Analyse vendor contract performance across the project and make recommendations for improvement.
Key capability requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications or trade with post graduate qualifications are essential;
* Experience in working on a coal mining operation is highly preferred;
* Sound financial and contractual managements skills, including the ability to successfully manage plant maintenance vendors and costs;
* High level social process skills, including communication skills and the demonstrated ability to successfully lead a team to achieve a plan and project outcomes;
* High level organisational skills, including the demonstrated ability to plan and prioritise work in a fast paced and changing environment; and
* High level mental processing ability, including the ability to solve complex problems.
