Your new role
Hays Recruitment is seeking dedicated professionals for various roles within a government agency. These positions are crucial for delivering accurate, timely, and customer-focused financial support services related to income replacement, payment processing, and debt recovery. The roles support public sector employees who are absent from work due to workplace injury or illness, ensuring financial entitlements and obligations are managed in line with legislation and agency policies.
* Income Administration Officer (APS3) : Responsible for providing timely and accurate income processing support activities and/or debt recovery functions for claimants. This role involves processing income payments within required timeframes, ensuring compliance with set procedures, and maintaining accurate records.
* Income Support Officer (APS4) : Works as part of the Assessment and Assurance teams responsible for the timely and accurate calculation and payment of incapacity benefits. This role involves managing income assessment and assurance functions related to claims and maintaining complex relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Senior Income Support Payments & Recoveries Officer (APS6) : Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of income support payments and the identification and recovery of overpayments. This role involves managing payroll activities related to income support determinations and debt recovery, contributing to key performance indicators, and maintaining stakeholder relationships.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need
* Experience in administration, finance, payments, or insurance.
* Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work under direction, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Baseline security clearance (or ability to obtain).
