PGC Legal is a progressive, commercially focused law firm delivering strategic legal solutions to clients across a range of industries. We pride ourselves on practical advice, strong client relationships, and a collaborative culture that supports both excellence and growth.

As the firm continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to work closely with the Partners to drive operational excellence, financial performance, people management, and to support the long-term strategic direction of the practice.

The Role

This is a senior, hands-on leadership role suited to a commercially minded operator. Reporting directly to the Partners, the General Manager will take ownership of the firm's non-legal operations and act as a key driver of strategy execution, performance discipline, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

* Oversee the day-to-day management of the legal practice, including operations, workflows, and systems
* Drive financial management and performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and profitability
* Oversee HR and people management, including recruitment, performance frameworks, culture, and professional development
* Drive a high-performance culture, including recruitment, KPIs and performance frameworks
* Manage and improve practice management systems, technology, and workflows
* Support Partners with strategic planning, business development, and growth initiatives
* Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and risk management obligations

About You

We seek a commercially minded leader with strong operational expertise and experience in professional services, ideally within a law firm.

You will bring:

* Proven experience in a General Manager, Practice Manager, COO, or senior operational leadership role
* Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing professional services budgets
* Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain a positive, high-performance culture
* Excellent communication and management skills
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities

Experience within a legal practice is highly regarded.
