South Metropolitan TAFE are seeking to establish an open recruitment pool. This pool will be used to appoint suitable applicants as vacancies arise, which may include full-time, part-time, permanent or fixed-term vacancies, with the possibility of further temporary and/or permanent appointments.

About the role
The position of Home Economics Assistant will be responsible for the purchasing of goods, ensuring safe and hygienic storage, issuing and handling of all foodstuffs and food preparation equipment and utensils.
The position also requires cleanliness in the classroom kitchens and storage areas and assistance in the provision of regular supplies and equipment.

* The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
* Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancies, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies throughout South Metropolitan TAFE.
* South Metropolitan TAFE reserves the right to extend or cease advertising at any given time in the future.
* If the appointment pool is exhausted prior to the pool expiry date, we reserve the right to supplement the pool through further advertising.
* Appointments may be made from this pool until 31 July 2027.
Other Conditions and Eligibility
Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.
To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
