Team leader school based education

Fremantle
Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure
Posted: 5 December
Offer description

The Maritime directorate in the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure (DTMI) holds responsibility for promoting the safe and sustainable use of Western Australia's navigable waters through education and compliance under the Western Australian Marine Act 1982 and the Navigable Waters Regulations 1958. A core component of this mandate is delivered through the Maritime Education Unit, which provides a comprehensive suite of school-based education programs at the Marine Education Boatshed (MEB).

The MEB is a high-demand facility, servicing up to 40 schools each week and more than 12,500 students annually. Its programs—including the Recreational Skipper's Ticket (RST), Seatrek voyage program, flat-water canoeing, and Junior Crew—embed a strong safety culture in young people and develop the next generation of responsible skippers who will interact safely with Western Australia's waterways.

Your leadership will be essential to sustaining programme outcomes and supporting Western Australia's commitment to safe and sustainable waterways.
