Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Diesel Fitter to join our workshop team.
As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining council equipment including loaders, dozers, graders, road rollers, backhoes and trucks.
You will also provide workshop services across the region, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in line with our quality management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair complex diesel engine faults
* Perform routine maintenance tasks on council equipment
* Provide technical guidance and support to other workshop staff
* Ensure compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant trade certificate as a diesel fitter or equivalent experience
* Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex diesel engine faults
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* High level of mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
