You could work on projects including financial and management reporting, finance transformation, regulatory compliance, and accounting advice. Typical tasks in the Government advisory team in Canberra include:Assist in developing Internal and External Budgets and improving the reporting framework.Manage relationships with the Australian National Audit Office regarding accounting technical matters.Respond to enquiries from Senate Committees, the Prime Minister, Cabinet, the Department of Finance, and individual senators on federal spending.Conduct financial analysis of Federal Departments in response to events like bushfires and COVID.About the teamOur Canberra team specializes in finance transformation, accounting change, financial management, complex transactions, accounting advice, finance outsourcing, costing, and federal budget management.About youWe're seeking candidates with:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.Currently studying or holding a CA/CPA qualification (or equivalent).3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, external audit, or related areas.Skills in technical and/or management accounting and budgeting.Strong relationship management skills.Excellent collaboration, precise thinking, and a dedicated work ethic.An existing security clearance is advantageous.Note: All candidates must undergo a security clearance check.
