Pump technician/ mechanical fire technician
Do you have a background in diesel or electric pumps or mechanical work and looking for a change in career?
Fire Shield is seeking to add to our growing team to join our wet services division. Be employed by a company who has the ability to expand your knowledge and encourage you to learn and grow in our inhouse training facility.
To be successful you must have extensive knowledge of and experience in repairs, diagnostics and maintenance of:
* Pumps and their associated components – specifically on Fire systems but other areas of relatable experience may be considered.
* Diesel engines
* Electric motors
* Pipework and valves
* Bearings and seals
* Control panels
* Tank components
* Organized, self-motivated, able to work autonomously and in a team
* Good Communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good customer service focus and can do attitude
* Ability to be on call for after hours in a 1 in 9 week roster
This role will suit a HD Mechanic, Mechanical fitter, Mechanic or other relatable trade with mechanical aptitude.
