Share a story or a cuppa - Become an Advocare Volunteer Visitor
Advocare Incorporated (Advocare) is an independent, community‐based, not‐for‐profit organisation that supports and protects the rights of older people in Western Australia through information, advocacy and education. We empower older people to make informed choices, understand their rights, resolve issues with aged care services, and access appropriate support and assistance.
Advocare volunteers play a vital role in delivering the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) to older people living in Residential Aged Care facilities or receiving a Support at Home Package. Volunteers provide one‐on‐one social visits to people who may be socially isolated or experiencing loneliness, and whose quality of life can be significantly improved through connection, companionship and positive engagement.
Through regular visits, volunteers help create meaningful relationships that bring comfort, joy and a sense of belonging to older members of our community.
