Supply Officer - Field Operations & Maintenance

JOHNEX explosives is a 100% Australian owned manufacturer and distributor of innovative explosives. With a reputation for precision, safety, and reliability, we support industries across Australia with cutting‐edge products and services. Our Operations team plays a critical role in delivering technical excellence, and we're looking for a Supply Officer based at our Belmont office to provide critical support to set the team up for success.

About the Role

As our Supply Officer, you will support the smooth running of the Field Operations and Maintenance division through the provision of (but not limited to) general administration, inventory control, coordinating deliveries, efficient data entry, accurate record management, and supporting maintenance scheduling and coordination.

This is a fast‐paced, hands‐on role where your work directly impacts site performance, logistics efficiency, and operational continuity of our field operations and maintenance teams reporting directly to the Operations and Maintenance Managers.

Key Duties

* Raise and manage purchase orders within authority limits
* Maintain accurate stock records and investigate variances co‐ordinating the monthly Field Operations Stocktake process
* Support monthly stocktakes and reconciliation
* Handling internal transfers of goods to other JOHNEX explosives sites
* Coordinate delivery of goods to remote sites across Australia
* Manage freight, suppliers, and urgent operational requests
* Maintain asset registers and track equipment location and condition
* Ensure all vehicle licensing is current
* Coordinate warranty claims, repairs, and replacements
* Support maintenance planning and scheduling
* Maintain the Field Operations Organisation structure to accurately reflect current employees, positions and locations
* Prepare operational and customer reports (monthly & quarterly)
* Assist with travel, rosters, and accommodation logistics
* Administer and assist employee expense claims and internal documentation
* Oversee the administration of company housing across Kalgoorlie and Bogan Gate (NSW)

What You'll Bring

* Exposure to purchasing & inventory systems (MYOB Greentree or similar ERP)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
* Strong attention to detail and communication skills
* Mechanical or technical understanding (highly regarded) and commitment to safety
* High attention to detail in fast‐paced environments
* Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines
