Your daily tasks may include
- Building positive relationships with young people and teammates
- Following routines developed for each young person
- Transporting young people to and from school, day programs and appointments
- Engaging in activities and shared meals
- Assisting in implementing growth and development programs
- Completing summary notes
- Creating a safe, homely living environment

About you – essential criteria
- Current Working with Children Check (for paid employment)
- Current First Aid Certificate (Provide First Aid; Course Code HLTAID003)
- National Police Check (via Employment Screening Group)
- International Police Check if applicable (for recent international residence)
- Current driver’s licence
- Willingness to participate in a Worker/Carer Exclusion Scheme Check
- Current NDIS Worker Check (can be obtained via Vic service site)
Mandatory qualifications
The employee is required to be enrolled in or hold either:
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention; or
- A recognised relevant qualification
In addition, residential care workers must complete the three mandatory units of competency: CHCMHS007, CHCPRT009, CHCCCS009. Allambi Care can facilitate obtaining these units within the first 3 months of employment via our partnered RTO.
