The Role
* Undertakes research and analysis to provide advice on issues related to the financial and accounting impactions across the local government sector.
* Develops policy for consideration related to the implementation of financial management practices and application of accounting principles.
* Contributes to the efficient delivery of all related activities leading to the implementation of financial and accounting policy.
* Participates as a member of the Directorate’s senior management team and along with other members, maintains a constructive and collegiate discipline within the team.
* Assists in the planning and management of the Local Government Financial Policy and Accounting Support’s team’s tasks and resources, including the development and monitoring of operational and team plans.
* Coaches and trains employees, including resolution of complex research problems.
* May be required to work outside normal working hours.
Qualifications & Licenses
* Current Western Australian C or C-A class drivers’ licence) or equivalent
