About the role
Harmony Integrated Services AU is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. This is a casual role that will involve providing high-quality care and support to our participants. You will play a vital part in helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
What you'll be doing
1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
2. Providing social and emotional support, engaging clients in meaningful activities, and facilitating community participation
3. Advocating for clients' needs and preferences, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
4. Maintaining accurate records and following all relevant policies and procedures
5. Participating in team meetings and ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge
Australian work authorization is required for this position.
What we're looking for
1. A Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Disability Support, or a related field
2. Experience in providing direct care and support to elderly or disabled individuals
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine compassion for the well-being of others
4. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
5. Reliable, flexible, and committed to delivering the highest standard of care
6. A current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
7. A valid Working with Vulnerable People check is required before starting employment
