The Role
As the Media and Communications Officer, you will play a key role in promoting the school's identity and achievements. Your responsibilities include maintaining and updating the school's website, social-media channels and related software to ensure content is accurate, current and engaging. You will actively seek opportunities to enhance the school's online presence, build and maintain positive relationships with print and digital media outlets, and collaborate closely with the Administration and Executive teams to support brand consistency and the production of publications, promotional materials and policy documents.
Qualifications and Experience
Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to work independently and collaboratively.
Confident in photography and video production, and in managing a large image library.
Experience in graphic design and the use of Adobe software such as InDesign, Canva, Illustrator and Photoshop.
Strong interest in social media and the ability to create a range of communication materials to support marketing activities, events and whole-school initiatives.
Eligibility
Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
Obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start.
Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
