**About the Role**
Reporting directly to the Retail Managers, this is a unique opportunity for a talented Retail operation professional to value add and enhance the venue's food and beverage operations to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
This role at its core is to assist with all Retail operations, working with an experienced team, and striving for better results for the entire Retail department. Forklift experience, logistics, and stock rotation are skills that will be highly regarded for this position. We have a large casual setup team, so managing and training casual staff in conjunction with the Retail managers is paramount to our success_._
The Retail Operations Assistant Manager provides a variety of management and professional support across the Retail area of the organisation with an emphasis on operational supervision and efficiencies, team effectiveness, and organisational development.

Solid task management, time management, and problem-solving skills allow you to take a systematic approach to venue operations and deliver desired outcomes for stakeholders. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will assist you to develop positive relationships with colleagues, site contractors, community and commercial partners. Your energetic, proactive, and solutions-focused approach will ensure that you can deliver this broad and diverse role autonomously and in a team environment.
- Key Responsibilities:_
***Logistics
- Receiving Deliveries
- Temperature Control & Recording
- Operation of forklift & electric pallet jacks
- Satellite catering operations
Distribution
- Aid in the creation of distribution lists by an outlet to set criteria and quantities.
- Maintain full retail stock control, including stock rotation, and adequate stock levels.
- Help maintain event day stock sheets and monthly stocktakes.
Event Operation
- To lead the Retail setup team where applicable and be always “hands-on” in an individual and team setting
- Lead by example in accordance with set standards and procedures.
- Ensure all retail areas are maintained both in appearance and cleanliness at all times. Retail areas are to be inspected at the close of each shift.
- Train, develop, and manage the performance of casual retail staff.
- Be familiar with, demonstrate, and carry out procedures in the setting up and service in all retail areas.
