About the role
Camco Engineering, a leading mechanical engineering company in Perth, Western Australia, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our agile team at our head office in Canning Vale.
In this role, you will design mechanical systems for both client and internal projects.
- Proficient in 3D modelling and detail drawings using SolidWorks or other similar 3D CAD systems.
- Experience reverse engineering of existing mechanical and structural components.
- Collaborating with project managers to meet technical requirements.
- Perform engineering design calculations and ensure compliance with Australian standards.
About you:
- A minimum of 4 – 5 years’ professional experience in mechanical engineering design.
- Core understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
- Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with FEA simulation such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA systems.
- Experience designing mechanical lifting and transport structures and mechanical component design, using Australian standards.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Australian resident, with full working rights.
