About the roleAs a Principal Engineer, you will build and deliver world-class iOS apps, providing technical leadership across the Coles Digital business.
You will liaise with our Heads of Engineering, Senior Managers, and Technical Leads working to uplift the digital experience of Coles customers.
Some of your key accountabilities will be:
Ownership of the iOS tech stack Guild ownership, cultivating a culture of knowledge sharing, collaboration and support.
Engineering tooling selection and alignmentDefinition of architecture and coding standardsReview and endorsements of implementation plansReview of Key Decision DocumentsRefinement and prioritisation of tech debt backlog.
Driving initiatives to maintain the overall platform health.Support an engineering team to develop delivery goals within agreed timelinesFacilitate agile scrum practices within the team, offer support to delivery managers in defining timelines and project requirementsEnsure the team is developing software quality in-line with the broader teams' expectationsFacilitate and govern peer reviews and testing standards
About you and your skills
Some of the things we are looking for:Seasoned software engineer with at least 10 years' experienceExtensive experience with native iOS development and frameworksHighly experienced in enterprise Agile Scrum product developmentExperience working in large scale projects and heavy-traffic platformsAbility to drive software engineering practicesExcellent analytical and problem resolution skillsProven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authorityExperience in a cloud environment desirableExperience with release and automation pipelines desirable
