About the Role The City of Vincent is seeking a visionary leader to take on the role of Manager Development and Design. This is your opportunity to guide a passionate team and shape the urban future of one of Perth’s most vibrant inner-city communities. In this pivotal role, you will: Lead the City’s Development and Design team, fostering collaboration, accountability and innovation. Oversee the development assessment and design review processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance and community value. Represent the City in key forums - from Council and Design Review Panels to community consultations and State Administrative Tribunal appeals. Champion urban sustainability, heritage, and great design outcomes. Build strong partnerships with developers, government agencies, residents and community groups to deliver Vincent’s vision. What are we looking for? You’re a leader who combines technical expertise with strategic thinking and strong communication skills. You’ll bring: A degree in Urban Planning (or related discipline). Extensive experience in planning, development assessment and applying planning legislation. Proven success in leading multi-disciplinary teams and building a culture of high performance. Strong ability to translate complex planning issues into clear, community-friendly advice. A commitment to innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.
