The Participant Support Officer will be the first point of contact for participants within the office, providing high-quality, professional, friendly, and respectful management of telephone inquiries, reception duties, and appointment processes.
The Role:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Managing and resolving participant matters by actioning planning tasks.
* Providing face-to-face customer service to participants, families, and carers.
* Assisting with research and reports as directed.
* Providing thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholders.
* Working under limited direction to provide administrative support to the team.
* Managing emails and appointments.
* Coordinating appointments using agency facilities and ensuring these are neat and prepared for participants.
* Undertaking various data entry responsibilities.
* Receiving and recording complaints and feedback in the agency database.
About You:
Participant Support Officers must have high personal resilience to handle emotional and challenging customer circumstances and high workload demands. This role involves liaising face-to-face with participants and delivering difficult news or managing challenging conversations.
To be successful:
* Proven experience within a government department, ideally in a similar role.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Background in administration and customer service.
* Understanding of working with individuals with disabilities.
