The Payroll Remediation Director will oversee payroll remediation projects, identify discrepancies, ensure compliance with Australian payroll laws, and implement corrective actions. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll management experience, strong analytical skills, and deep knowledge of Australian payroll regulations.

Win new work from existing clients, attract new clients, and introduce new services.
Guide multiple team members in organizing and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Review and approve advice and calculations before client delivery.
Make Ryan Payroll a center of excellence in payroll and employee taxes valued by clients.
Value
Lead payroll remediation projects from start to finish.
Perform payroll audits to find discrepancies and compliance issues.
Develop and execute remediation plans.
Ensure adherence to Australian payroll laws.
Support payroll staff with remediation best practices.
Monitor and report project progress to senior management.
Stay updated on payroll legislation and industry standards.
Provide training to enhance payroll staff skills.
Assist clients with continuous improvement initiatives.
Build and manage the payroll function.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.
5-7+ years in payroll management, focusing on remediation.
Deep knowledge of Australian payroll laws.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven project leadership ability.
Proficiency in payroll software and data analysis tools.
Payroll administration certification is a plus.
Computer Skills
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and internet research.
Certificates and Licenses
Valid driver’s license required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Head of Service role overseeing all staff in the service line.

Location: Sydney, AU.
Employment type: Full-time, 38 hours/week.
