Our Australian Team comprises around 50 expert engineers and is experiencing rapid growth driven by large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects. As we explore new opportunities in substations and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), our centralized engineering team abroad will offer support to guarantee seamless integration and execution.
In this role, you will report daily to the Business Development Manager in Australia.
Additionally, you will maintain frequent communication with Project Managers, ensuring cohesive collaboration and successful project outcomes.
Position Overview
Participate actively to the business development of an ongoing project development opportunity for which Equans Solar and Storage is currently involved.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the identification of nez opportunities across solar, BESS, and hybrid energy solutions.
* Conduct market research, analyze competitor activity, and support preparation of strategic briefs.
Technical Feasibility & Engineering Support
* Contribute to early-stge technical assessments (site reviews, preliminary layouts, capacity estimates).
* Review and analyze technical documentation from suppliers and contractors.
* Help prepare proposals, EOIs, and tender documentation.
* Assist in organising pricing, assumptions, and technical content.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in engineering: renewable/energy systems, electrical, mechanical or equivalent.
* Internship or apprenticeship experience (3-12 months) in renewable energy, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure.
* Good techncial understanding of energy systems and strong analytical skills.
* Ability to interpret technical documents and drawings (even at a basic level).
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
