**The Role**:
The role is part of a team of skilled, multi-disciplinary engineers focusing on providing guidance to the team to meet technical standards. The company is one of APAC's largest Insurance groups; owning the regions most trusted and used insurance brands. The technical lead must have an understanding in API or UI development and have previous experience as a Technical Lead or equivalent. This role will be the point of contact for Estimation, Design & Troubleshooting for this companies loyalty program. This role also has strong potential to eventually convert into a leadership position.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead the technical direction taken for the customer loyalty program; Identifying gaps regarding ways of working, technical capabilities and propose methods of remediation.
- Contributing to the estimation of solutions and all levels of design maturity; Maintain high security as well as identifying and mitigating risks.
- Developing Detailed Design (DD) documents off the back of architectural High Level Designs (HLD) as well as reviewing both HLDs and DDs.
- Be accountable for code quality, deployment and delivery or all projects; act as a sounding board for the team when decisions need to be made
- Be on a roster for 3rd level emergency on call support during critical points of the project.
**Experience Required**:
- Strong developmental skills and working knowledge of technologies: APIs, Kotlin and Webflux as well as OKTA; Experience with Java/Spring Boot is good.
- Experience working in an agile environment; experience within any sort of Identity Access Management project is ideal but not essential.
- Can work well with a range of other internal and external stakeholders, promoting cross company collaboration to ensure delivery within timeframes and quality guidelines.
- Well developed organisational skills and proven experience as a technical lead or relevant responsibilities.
- Relevant qualifications or education is ideal but not necessary.
