The Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds Team Leader to act as 2IC to the Property Services & Facility Manager, overseeing the day-to-day care and presentation of our College grounds.
This hands-on leadership role will coordinate a small team to ensure the campus grounds and outdoor spaces are safe, functional and well-maintained. From landscaping and irrigation to rubbish removal and oval care, you will take pride in creating an environment the whole College community can enjoy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading daily operations of the grounds team.
* Overseeing landscaping, garden and oval maintenance.
* Managing and maintaining irrigation systems.
* Coordinating rubbish removal and general grounds presentation.
* Allocating and supervising tasks for team members.
* Working in conjunction with the Property Services & Facility Manager to ensure quality, safety and efficiency.
* Supporting compliance with WHS and College standards.
About You
You are a practical, reliable and hands-on team leader who enjoys working outdoors and motivating others. You will bring:
* Experience in grounds, landscaping or property maintenance.
* Leadership or supervisory experience (formal or informal).
* Strong organisational skills and ability to allocate tasks effectively.
* Basic knowledge of irrigation, turf care and landscaping practices.
* A commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
Desirable:
* Trade or horticulture qualifications.
* Experience working in schools, community facilities or large grounds.
* LR driver's licence or higher.
