Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Garden and Yard Maintenance worker to join our team. As a Garden and Yard Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic and functional aspects of residential outdoor areas. This role involves a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall upkeep and enhancement of gardens, lawns, and landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
* Servicing DVA and NDIS funded participants across Hobart and surrounding areas
* Routine mowing, garden maintenance, and general handyman services.
* Mowing and edging lawns
* Blowing, weeding, and hedging
* Mulching, planting, and turfing
* General yard clean-ups and rubbish removal
* Gutter cleaning and general handyman maintenance
* Operate equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
* Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and preferences
* Manage timelines and budgets
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards
Qualifications:
Preferred:
* Cert lll Horticulture (Sports Turf Management) or equivalent or currently studying
* Some grass species, weed and pest identification skills
Essential:
* Ability to work flexible hours across Monday to Friday
* Ability to operate and maintain landscaping equipment
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
* Vehicle suitable to transport heavy goods
