Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Service Designer to join our team. This role involves delivering impactful outcomes by balancing user needs with business goals.
Daily Responsibilities:
* Leading and undertaking service design activities in a multi-disciplinary delivery team.
* Applying expertise to enhance and improve existing software, including designing, developing, implementing, and testing software systems.
* Applying best practice service design methods and processes to support the future design of electoral services or improved customer experiences in existing services.
* Delivering and designing appropriate service design artefacts and communication material as required.
* Transforming defined business needs into outcomes and problem statements for large-scale applications and complex systems.
Requirements:
* Experience delivering in project environments, with a strong grasp of human-centred design, user journey mapping, and strategic implementation.
* Proven ability to work autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams, building shared goals and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships.
* Skilled in planning, facilitating, and documenting user interviews, identifying root causes, and driving process improvements.
* Ability to translate between business and technical needs, negotiate outcomes, and support the growth of less experienced team members.
