Your Opportunity:Deliver high quality oral health services to eligible clients as an Oral Health Therapist in a multidisciplinary team.Contribute to the provision of oral health services within the above designated dental team or in other Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service oral health teams as required.
What we're looking for:Proven knowledge and experience in delivering routine dental therapy and dental hygiene services within a multidisciplinary team.Proven skills in delivering current dental therapy and dental hygiene procedures and oral health related information to the eligible client group.Proven ability to plan, implement and evaluate oral health promotion projections based on the guiding principles of health promotion.Proven ability to work as a team member to achieve the goals of the work unit and ability to communicate and work collaboratively with clients, oral health staff, Education Queensland, other Queensland Health entities and stakeholders.Proven ability to work collaboratively in the operational running of an individual oral health facility under the management of the local senior management team.Experience in the prevention, identification and management of medical emergencies.Knowledge and understanding of policies, procedures and trends relating to the provision of dental therapy including medico-legal responsibilities, ethical practice, codes of practice and relevant standards.Knowledge of human resource management issues, including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination as applied in the working environment.
Preferred Qualifications:Mandatory possession of a Bachelor of Oral Health or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties.Possession of an appropriate Use Licence issued under the Queensland Radiation Safety Act 1999.

Our offer: You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $132,567 p.a., comprising salary between $79,051 – $116,189 p.a. (f/t) or salary rates $39.87 - $58.60 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP3) (Permanent Full Time, 76 hours p.f., and Permanent Part Time Positions, hours negotiable).
