What you'll do:
Support clients with mental health conditions before Local and Supreme Courts
Collaborate with lawyers to develop trauma-informed bail and sentencing plans
Help clients reintegrate post-release, connecting them with housing, NDIS and mental health supports
Build stakeholder relationships, identify service gaps, and contribute to systemic reform
Travel to bush courts (including overnight stays) to deliver outreach services.
What we're looking for:
Qualified Social Worker eligible for AASW membership and clinical supervision
Strong knowledge of Aboriginal culture, mental health systems, and justice issues
Proven experience in complex casework, risk assessment, and client advocacy
Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate with influence
Valid NT driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote communities.
