The Opportunity
Our company is seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling our curbside collection fleet to ensure all performance indicators are achieved.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate and schedule your curbside collection fleet to ensure all performance indicators are achieved
* Consult with line management in the development and management of operational targets
* Ensure all pre-start, post-run, and minor day-to-day maintenance tasks are carried out on all equipment
* Lead by example - be a people person, create a good solid work and team culture
* Drive operational efficiencies within the team, continual review and improvement of site
* Manage and prepare detailed reports this includes toolbox meetings
* Lead performance management investigations and outcome
About You
We are looking for someone with a landfill or waste background who has:
* Good people skills
* A minimum of 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role
* Exposure to and knowledge of comprehensive safety management systems
* Experience within the transport / waste / logistics and or recycling industries desirable
* Knowledge of HSE and environmental legislation and ability to work independently
* Microsoft suite experience essential
