Project Engineers play a pivotal role in ensuring construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of engineering principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with stakeholders from design, development, and construction departments to provide necessary construction input and updates.
* Undertake due diligence reviews and communicate findings and implications to relevant stakeholders.
* Analyse design documentation to identify risks and opportunities, and ensure these are effectively resolved with relevant stakeholders.
* Develop construction staging and logistic plans, management plans, and methodologies.
* Develop design and construction programmes.
* Develop construction preliminaries and supervision estimates.
* Obtain trade pricing and feedback to assist developing project budgets.
* Communicate with and obtain required inputs from key subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, authorities, and similar entities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Tertiary degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or equivalent.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.
* Experience presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong programming and project planning skills.
* Strong problem-solving and time management skills (ability to work across multiple projects at various stages concurrently).
* Well-rounded experience across all project phases (concept to delivery and completion).
* Experience managing the design development process and consultants is beneficial.
* Previous experience working in a similar capacity (2+ years).
* Proven experience working as a Project Engineer on large-scale new-build projects.
